Congratulations to the Keel/Listry minor team who won the Div.5 county minor league on last Friday night. They defeated Knock/Brosna after a very close game played in Scartaglin. Garry O Sullivan from Listry captained the team and Joseph Clifford won a deserved Man of the Match for his brilliant display on the night. This is a second County Minor title in 2 years so great credit due to all.
A full report of the match can be viewed on the Kerry GAA web site.
Keel/Listry minors won Div 5 of the county minor league with a 3-6 to 0-13 victory over Knocknagoshel/Brosna. A strong wind all through had an effect on the game. Knock/Brosna who had started with the aid of the wind led at half time. A goal by Gary O Sullivan kept Keel/Listry in the game. Knock/Brosna started the second half the better and looked to be heading for victory when Joseph Clifford hit a purple patch where he scored 2-2 to put his side in control and they held on for victory. Joseph Clifford was selected man of the match.
