Well done to the under twelves who won their first outing in the county league against Lispole in Lispole on Sunday evening .
Jack O’Leary started in goals and was very impressive under the high balls . He made a few excellent stops aswell . Our full back line of Conor Crowley and Dylan Brennan kept a tight grip on their nippy inside line . Half backs Aaron O’Donoghue and Joe Courtney had the measure of their opponents and regularly started counter attacks . Captain for the day Niamh Broderick was joined in midfield by James O’Dowd and they did very well against Lispole’s two strongest players . Ruari Murphy and Micheal Keane formed a fast skilful half forward line who travelled up and down the pitch carrying ball setting up and taking their own scores . Aaron O’Shea and Joseph Clifford were our starting inside forwards .They were are handful for the Lispole defence and finished with a fine scoring tally . We had a great turn out and had a full bench to bring on . Tallulah Belle Courtney and Aisling O’Callaghan came on early into the forward line and performed valiantly . Likewise Mason Courtney and Stephen O’Brien played a large chunk of the game in our defence and stuck well with their task . Daire Murphy played the whole of the second half in the forward line and he proved a very elusive attacker .
Brian , Peter , Paul and Tony were delighted with the turn out , the display and the victory .
We have had an excellent start to the year with training and games going very well . Training again on Tuesday and our next league game is at home against Cromane next Sunday .
