The U12 season restarted in the last few weeks . We started with a few indoor sessions and then moved outdoor to the pitch.
Last weekend we played Spa Killarney in Listry . We were missing a few players for our first outing but we put up a very determined display against a strong Spa side .
On Sunday 23rd we went straight from the senior game to John Mitchells new complex in Tralee to play their under twelve team . This was a very close game that had no goals but John Mitchells won in the end by a few points .
Over the two games we had some impressive displays . Tallulah Belle Courtney started the first game in goals and performed bravely . Over the game several other players had some time in goals . Jack O’Leary played the majority of the second game and was outstanding in goals . Defence was under a lot of pressure at times in both games but Conor Crowley , Joseph Courtney , Aaron O’Donoghue , Joseph Clifford and Aileen O’Leary all played excellent football in defending and starting attacks . Again midfield was rotated but strong performances were seen from Dylan Brennan , Niamh Broderick , Micheal Keane and Aaron O’Shea . Our attack tried valiantly to get scores even though they were up against strong defences in both games . There were strong displays from Daire Murphy , James O’Dowd , Aisling O’Callaghan , Mason Courtney and Stephen O’Brien . Zac Campion and Cathal O’Donoghue were great additions even though they’re only in their first year of under tens .
Well done to the team so far and their mentors Brian , Paul , Peter and Tony .
We’re back to training this week then another challenge next weekend before the county league starts on the 6th of April.
