Listry seniors went out of the East Kerry championship O Donoghue cup when they
went down to Gneeveguilla  in Gneeveguilla on Saturday evening last. The final
score was Gneeveguilla 2-9 Listry 0-5. While the score line suggest a easy
victory for the home side Listry had in fact put up a good display against the
Div 1 side and trailed 7pts to 3pts at half time and were it not for some poor
shooting could have been much closer. Gneeveguilla only pulled away after
scoring a goal with about 10 minutes left. Listry now have just the county
league left and have a tough battle to retain their div 4 status but with a bit
of luck they will survive.
