What a fantastic day we had in Allman park on Sunday 7th October. This was the final day of training for the U-6/8/10 boys and girls. On a dry day the pitch was looking great and thank you to Jerome Kennedy for the pitch lay-out and Mike Mannix for cutting the grass specially for the day.
Thank you to all the great coaches in Listry and I’m afraid to list all of them just in case I forget someone. Some night soon I must make a list of all the ladies and gents that helped out on the Friday evening sessions,we had at least 30.Thanks again to coaching officer Jerome Kennedy for his enthusiasm and organisational skills.
Thank you to all the wonderful parents of Listry for looking after your kids and bringing them to football training and games.Thank you to Aisling O’Sullivan for organising the tea, coffee and home-baking on the day.It was brilliant Aisling and I know now two and a half litres of milk is not enough.A lot of parents were up early on Sunday baking for the club and again thank you for your generousity.
Thank you to Peter and Siobhan Keane SuperValu Killorglin for the excellent preparation of the ‘goody bags’.
A big thank you to the 80 great kids who participated on the day.Thank you for your good behaviour on the day and throughout the year. You are all a credit to your parents and as we celebrate our 80th year as a club we have 80 fantastic footballers to secure the future of the club.I know some children were unable to attend for different reasons but don’t worry, the club has medals for all and can be collected by contacting Jerome or myself.
So,as our 2012 season is over,I hope all our coaches will stay involved and any opinions on how we can improve things would be appreciated.Thank you all for your help, kindness and support of Listry Juvenile club. Up Listry !
